Other places of interest in Cornwall

The North Coast of Cornwall with its rugged coast and splendid beaches and towns of Padstow, home of Rick Stein's famous sea food restaurant, and Port Isaac, home of ITV's comedy Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes, is around a 40 minute drive from us.

Further afield, Falmouth and St Ives are also great places to visit.

The cathedral city of Truro is around 25 miles from Fowey. Truro is a market town and port with 800 years of heritage. There is a large indoor market on Lemon Quay and occasional farmers' markets. Chain stores, including a large branch of Marks and Spencer, can be found here as well as one of the largest collection of independent shops in Cornwall. The city also boasts plenty of trendy bars and restaurants, a cinema and a theatre.
